I went on official web site but there is no 1. I've found the link for download here,downloaded and installed it and it's not working,can't even start the game. EA suck's big time,theyr making games long long time and they have same errors in every game. My friend wrote them i bet they r using his ideas to fix their problems. Cheep bastards,for online game they r using p2p connection instead online server like Blizard.
If EA hasn't put it in its Generals Website yet, maybe they have to finish something up and forgot to remove the link. I went to my friends a wile ago, and right after he got the patch, he went to play online with me standing by we alternate every week and he recieved a similar if not the same error. I think EAs made some serious errors with the latest patch, they are screwing themselves over with this.

May I don't know the reason but after a clean install of Win 10 i installed a new hard disk SSD everything works fine. Even other games i never mentioned here before. I think my problem should have been that i had Win 8.

To most people this file is rather criptic and makes no sense but it may give you clues as what cause the problem. My personal opinion: the game should really get a file integrity checker. If one of the movie files from the briefings is damaged, then it crashes while playing them.
That's good for stability :S. When reinstalling the game, file contents which do not match the correct installation files' content will be reinstalled, and then patching again can solve problems for some people. But only if your harddisk isn't very reliable will this work. What I'm saying is: for some people, problems occur because files are damaged on their harddisk, but the problem with the game is that it gives just one and the same error for almost everything.
