The Media Sync screen just stays the same as if I never connected the blackberry storm to my computer in the first place even though my blackberry storm is charging via the computer.
Is there something I'm missing or haven't done yet? What should I do? I have a Storm and I just downloaded Kindle. No issues on the install and I bought two books but I can't get one to download to the phone. I installed Kindle on my PC and downloaded the book in no time and then went to desktop to transfer it to the phone. The new version has no media sync for ebooks! The old one did and I used it all the time, now I got nothing.
I can file transfer the book to the smart card, but the phone doesn't see it. How to sync ebooks these days? I have almost pictures, etc that I want to delete off of my card. Is there a way to do this in one swoop and not one by one? When I start the Media Sync program on my XP machine I immediately get a pop up that says the program has encountered an error and needs to close. It is the most recent version. This problem seems to not to be affected by whether or not Media Sync is started alone or through the Desktop manager.
However, the program opens, and acts like it is running anyway. Just ignore the pop up. A week ago, it was seeing my iTunes library and I could use it to put music from a playlist onto my Tour. It says it my library contains no songs. Sometimes, multiple attempts to start it it, it will see them, but then I cannot click the boxes that allow me to choose the playlist to sync them to the BB.
Whenever I connect my Storm to my laptop to transfer videos on to the media card in my Storm, when I disconnect it, and go to media:video, every video that I have ever had on my phone is listed.
A battery pull refreshes the list, and it then only shows the videos that are actually currently on the card. Is there any way I can refresh the list without rebooting? I recently installed OS 5.
I haven't had any issues with it until recently. When I try a soft reset, I get the red indicator light as usual, but instead of resetting, I get a message on my screen that says something along the lines of "Media card installed. All media will be copied onto the device. Any ideas on why the soft reset no longer works? I'm, new to blackberry, and on the first day I plugged my Curve to the computer and the Desktop Manager "recommended" to upgrade to the latest OS v5.
Media I assume that's the internal name, not the display name, anyone knows how to rename it?? I don't want to mess with the OS by downgrading or things like that, I'm quite happy with how the phone works as it is Last night I bought two CDs on line.
BlackBerry Blend is easy to set up. Simply download and install the software for your computer or tablet and then log in with your BlackBerry ID. BlackBerry will be taking steps to decommission the legacy services for BlackBerry 7. BlackBerry uses cookies to help make our website better. Some of the cookies are necessary for proper functioning of the site, while others are to help us understand how you use it. Sadly, actually making those features work seems to be another story.
BlackBerry Desktop Manager will lose connection to your gadget midtransfer, which can mess up your files or backup, causing you to start over. File transfers go for minutes on end without a status update, which makes you think the program crashed. Somehow, that's more frustrating than when the program actually crashes -- which is more often than it should.
BlackBerry Desktop Manager offers a clean, beautiful interface, which is the only plus we can give to this software at this time. It's sleek, intuitive and helpful - the exact opposite of BlackBerry Desktop Manager itself.
